In this role, you will:

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Product Ownership: Manage the full product lifecycle—from analyzing market trends and identifying growth opportunities to shipping features and measuring their impact on P&L.

• UI/UX Optimization: Evolve the sportsbook frontend and event display based on player behavior and regional nuances. Your goal is to ensure players find their bets in under 3 seconds.

• Metrics & Analytics: Deep dive into key product metrics (Turnover, GGR, Margin, Live vs. Pre-match ratios, Bet counts). You interpret data through Tableau, Metabase, or Looker to drive product decisions.

• Segmentation & Retention: Develop strategies for diverse player segments (pure sports, cross-product, high rollers). Design and launch trigger-based campaigns, bonus mechanics, and reactivation flows.

• Sportsbook Calendar Management: Plan and coordinate product activations around major sporting events and local leagues to maximize engagement.

• Cross-functional Leadership: Act as the bridge between Analytics, Design, Development, and Marketing. Write clear User Stories with defined Acceptance Criteria, prioritize the backlog based on ROI, and lead the execution process.

  Requirements

  Sports Expertise & Betting Domain Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of sports logic, tournament structures, seasonality, and player preferences across different GEOs.

  • Solid knowledge of betting specifics: odds, singles/accumulators, pre-match/live markets, and margin management.

  Product & Analytical Skills:

  • Understanding of key product metrics: turnover, bonuses, deposits, and conversion rates.

  • Proficiency in working with analytical dashboards (Tableau, Metabase, Looker, or similar).

  • Proven experience in A/B testing and conducting product experiments.

  • In-depth knowledge of promo/retention mechanics: bonuses, trigger-based campaigns, and user segmentation.

  Technical & Management Skills:

  • Ability to formulate clear tasks for the development team, including acceptance criteria, priorities, and context.

  • Experience in managing a product backlog and prioritization (Asana, Jira, or similar tools).

  Hard Skills

  • Advanced Analytics: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and cohort analysis (Retention, Churn, LTV).

  • Product Discovery: Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar).

  • Prototyping: Ability to create wireframes or user flows (Figma, Miro).

  • Technical Documentation: Mastery in writing detailed PRDs, technical specifications, and event tracking plans.

  • Integrations: Understanding of Sportsbook API integrations and payment gateway workflows.

  • Risk & Fraud: Basic knowledge of betting risk management and fraud detection principles.
